Any idea? The KEF LS50 wireless speakers have an internal amplifier and DAC and are not listed as possibilities in the remote setup screen. By the way, these speakers are absolutely awesome and well into the very expensive audiophile range of performance for a bit over $2000. I can't say enough about them as either TV or PC speakers. I have them wired for both.

Even though these use a very common protocol used by many other makes/models (see below - protocol NEC1, device 1), you're unlikely to find a match. You can try a code search and test with vol commands rather than power, but that will probably fail. Would you be open to using a universal remote instead of the Tivo remote or at least a learning Tivo remote like the Slide Pro? If so, I could easily build a device code file or generate the appropriate pronto hex codes or possibly pull codes from the Global Cache database. It's also in the Harmony database. So any Harmony would work out of the box, no learning required. The codes could also be programmed into any JP1 remote using advanced codes, no learning or JP1 cable required.

For my own reference, vol+, vol- and power are EFCs 197, 221 and 165 respectively. I found no match in the JP1 or UEI databases.

The following tables list the command codes required for LS50 Wireless.

Table 1: LS50 Wireless speakers with serial numbers that come before LS50W06255 use the following 8 codes to control 8 functions.

    Code Format: NEC
    Factory Code: 0x01
    # Functions Function codes
    1 Power On/Off Toggle 0x40
    2 Mute/ Unmute Toggle 0x20
    3 Play/Pause 0x18
    4 Next 0x52
    5 Source toggle 0x58
    6 Volume Up 0x60
    7 Volume Down 0xA0
    8 Previous 0xD2

Table 2: LS50 Wireless speakers with serial numbers that come after LS50W06256 use the following 19 codes to control 19 functions.*

    Code Format: NEC
    Factory Code: 0x01
    # Functions Function codes
    1 Power On/Off Toggle 0x40
    2 Mute/ Unmute Toggle 0x20
    3 Play/Pause 0x18
    4 Next 0x52
    5 Source toggle 0x58
    6 Volume Up 0x60
    7 Volume Down 0xA0
    8 Previous 0xD2
    9 Power ON 0x38
    10 Power OFF 0x3A
    11 Mute 0x48
    12 Un-Mute 0x4A
    13 Source: Wi-Fi 0x30
    14 Source: Bluetooth 0x2A

    17 Source: Optical 0x0A
    18 Source: USB 0x1A

*Older firmware versions do not support these function codes. Please check and update your speakers using the firmware upgrade tool provided on the KEF product support page (http://international.kef.com/product-support) if required.
