This has happened to me a couple of times now. I have plenty of space for recordings. I set the Tivo to record, I see the red light recording light on, but when I go to watch the show later, it isn't listed!!!! This was a 2 hour show. Also sometimes I check the recording play back and some times the show is just a gray blank screen. This seems to happen quite frequently on the HD channels. Can anyone help me and give suggestions? Thank you!!!

Why does this keep happening? Is it something with my cable company?

Uncheck the channels you don't have signals on the channels list.

In addition to making sure that you do not have channels selected that you don't receive, check the recording history to see what TiVo reports for that show. Note that you don't mention which model TiVo you are using, whether it's TE3 or TE4 and if you are cable or OTA. It's really helpful to give all the information up front when asking for help as it can have an impact on the answer.

In the History/Recording Activity folder, is the program listed?

'Suggestions' are also kinda buried, too.
