I'm having an unusual problem with my Tivo Bolt. I have had this happen many times on one particular show. For the record, the show is Heartland. Just the other day, I set it up to record two episodes (Christmas episodes Pt 1 and Pt 2) I noticed the day they were recording and even opened the Tivo to be sure what was recording. Later that day, the recording was gone!
Oddly, it wasn't even in the deleted recordings list. This has happened before, too.
Has anyone had this happen to them? (Yes, I've power cycled the Tivo and the problem persists.)

Cable company is most likely setting a Copy Protection code for that channel.

Can you actually view the Channel on Live TV on your TiVo?

    Check the History. (TE3 20.x = History, TE4 21.X = Recording Activity)

I have no idea why they would do that, but if it's possible (Spectrum is our TV Company and Internet) I guess that could be it. How am I supposed to use the TIVO to record this show when I want to see it? The only way then is to view it live?

    Feature
View Recording History or Activity—or History—displays a list of:

Programs that have not been recorded in the past.
Programs that will not be recorded in the future
Programs that have been deleted early, along with the reason the programs are not in the Now Playing List or My shows.

Note: View Recording History or Activity (or History) does not offer an option for deleting items in the list. This list cannot be edited.

Devices on TiVo Experience 3 (software version: 20.x or earlier):

    Menu Path from TiVo Central
Search, OnePass, & Manager > History

Devices on TiVo Experience 4 (software version: 21.x):

    Menu Path from HOME
MENU > MANAGE > RECORDING ACTIVITY

Once inside the History list, use the Red C button on your remote to toggle between viewing all listings, only listings that have conflicts, or only listings that will record.

    What do the icons mean?

    Red X - Scheduling conflict
Gray X - Show has been cancelled by someone in the home or the TiVo device

Note: Do not confuse this with the gray X which occasionally appears in My Shows when you delete a show.

Ok, the recordings show up in “history” what does that tell us? (And thanks for explaining the feature!)

The show is there.... I’m not sure what you’re asking. Does this help? 6E7D9F61-BB74-44D3-8E64-1C6299BCB95B.jpeg

At the right it saying (Not New) and to the far right it saying (Re-run) and if you press the INFO button it probably says (This episode was not recorded because it is not new, and the OnePass or WishList that requested it is not set to record re-runs).
