My wife has a tv package from Korea that uses iptv. She really likes it, but there is no "Pause" Does tivo make any type of device that will allow me to record a hdmi stream? I dont really want to keep what I record, but to be able to pause or fast forward through comercials.

    Thanks for any advice

    TiVo doesn't, no.

You can rig something up to do it, but it won't involve TiVo.

Check out some of these. Be prepared to buy a splitter or some other device to strip the copy protection. Some will also require Plex or similar to manage and play back the files.

I played with a little using a couple of different PC capture cards and none of them will ignore the digital management key. This is actually buried in the HDMI hardware standard so I suppose you need some outlaw box that can ignore this. If you can live with SD you could always take the A/V output from the Tivo and go into a DVD recorder, ReplayTV or old style PC capture card (maybe even a VCR) but this will be "happy days" quality TV.
