I have a Series 2 40 Hr which I know has only one tuner but here is what it did last night.
I was watching and recording House on Fox (Season Pass 9PM-10PM) at the end it stopped recording and remained on Fox. I also have a season pass for Boston Legal which is scheduled to begin recording at 10:01PM so at 10PM Tivo asked me if I would like to change channels from Fox to ABC to begin recording Boston Legal.
I hit OK and at 10:01 my Tivo recorded Boston Legal but the channel I was watching remained on FOX as if I had 2 tuners.
Anyone out there ever see this before?

Yes, you were probably watching the program delayed in the buffer, right? Tivo will switch channels on you, but will keep the delayed buffer around.

You weren't caught up to live TV. You were in the buffer. The DVR will allow you to stay in the buffer even when it changes channels. ..that you were recording that particular show mattered not.
