For a MoCA network, you would normally need a Gateway/router with MoCA enabled, or a separate MoCA adapter, or if you can get Ethernet to a 4 tuner Premiere, a Roamio Pro/Plus, or any of the Bolts. You might also need one or more MoCA filters depending on your configuration. All Minis have MoCA builtin.
Without some detail on your current equipment and coax configuration it is pretty much impossible to do anything but guess.
PS. These forums are likely the best possible source for good, accurate information....not a blog.

Whatever blogs you're reading are completely wrong. Moca is the next best thing to ethernet and works fine on any properly connected coax network that isn't physically damaged.

Amazon has several Moca bridges under $15. I just bought my 3rd one for $10.

But as the previous poster said, it's impossible to give you a parts list without knowing what you've got or what your coax network looks like. It's possible you won't need anything at all.

First question: which TiVo do you have? Some have MoCA built in, others don't. If yours has MoCA built in, you only need a PoE filter (possibly more than one, depending on whether you have a "MoCA senstivie" modem and/or tuning adapter).

If you have Spectrum for internet, you may run into some issues. Spectrum appears to have started using some of the same MoCA frequencies in their implementation of Docsis 3.x for cable modems.

MoCA will work for me, however it interferes with the cable modem and severely drops down the speed of my internet connection.

My troubles/findings are here: MoCA Troubles / Questions

and after finding out that they have two cable cards on my acct and i only requested one and only received one card i chosen to send the tivo back and get the OTA version and just dump spectrum all together. it has been one nightmare after another with these clueless idiots:mad:. i told the guy at the store how long it took me just to get the cable card and all of the crap that i had to go through. he just said OMG and that he could not belive it. but the second card on my acct is the last straw!!!

So you'll have the BOLT VOX 500GB or 1TB, and will be using it to tune an OTA antenna signal?

What service and connection type will you be using for Internet access? Any change to the modem or router?

Are you still looking to network the TiVo boxes via MoCA?
