I like that it was Ally Sheedy because Shawn was referred as Judd Nelson in this episode, as well as the episode where we first meet Abigail. Which is, most likely, why it was her in the first place :)

well, i can tell you this. i've never watched lost. i have watched court tv crime shows and such. and what ive seen is either a serial killer gets jailed because they are the decoy or because they are in cahoots with someone else. a serial killer loves the thrill and they won't just keel over and die or in this case get jailed. and if the writers are good which from watching psych from the get go they have been, they'll be developing a story and it can't just end with "the basketcase" going to jail. there's more to it. oh and this is just my opinion im not forcing it on anyone.

I sort of think they're setting up the weird FBI guy to take over as a copycat next season. He's just too odd.

This was an awesome season ender. I love Psych. Both the wife and I thought this was one of the best episodes. You had to love the nod he gave Gus for being there at the end to make sure it stayed friendly on the date.

Her favorite is the one with Tim Curry as the American Idol like critic. She still cracks up when she thinks about that one.

I think he might be Mr. Yang. And Ally was Mrs. Yen (dark). But probably overthinking it.

    Nice Breakfast Club reference...

It took me a second to figure out who Mr. Yang was. Talk about time marching on.

I'd love to see them come back to Mr. Yang but this isn't a serialized show in that sense. To bring her back would mean a significant change in the show's format. The only thing that has been carried over from week to week is the Shawn/O'Hara relationship.

If Shawn doesn't want Jules, I'll take her.

Until this episode, they hadn't developed that at all from the first and only time we'd seen her before. But you are correct.

I was disappointed in the fact that Shawn didn't "catch" the killer. She just gave herself up. Why? because he followed the clues? Just fell flat at the end.

I've been in the position Shawn was with Jules at the end of the episode. Where I had a date and the woman I really wanted to know was suddenly available to me. I did the exact same thing. I did the same think he did. I honored the commitment I already had. I was the right thing to do.

Personally, I think the "You're timing is rotten." also implied that he was still interested. Besides, how long do you think Abigail will put up having Gus around like he was that night? Jules is already used to it.

The one advantage of a relationship with Abigail is that he could tell her the truth about his "psychic" abilities. With Juliet, he'd always have to pretend...

You don't think she doesn't suspect already?

I forgot to mention, the result of that date. I ended up marrying the girl I had to put off. We are now in our 19th year.

geez that stinks about jules waiting so long but serves her right .... and i know it's probably cop procedure but i notice in most shows the girls always have their hair up. They all look so much better with hair down..on this show, mentalist, etc

so why did the yang want to be caught anyway, i'm sure they said but i forgot

Sorry for the thread bump. Just got caught up on this show over the weekend.

I also thought this all fell flat. Given that the Mr. Yang mystery was solved with 10 minutes left in the episode, and given the ominous way she told Shawn to have fun on his date (or whatever she said), I thought for sure there was going to be something else that happened. But instead, the whole Mr. Yang thing just ended, and because I kept expecting it not to be over, it ruined the last act with the Shawn/Abigail/Jules triangle. It didn't have the intended impact on me because I kept looking for something that Mr. Yang had set in motion that was going to pop up at the last minute.

Anyway, sorry again for the bump. Just had to discuss this somewhere.
