    Hi there,

    I've just installed the latest version of tracker and I'm trying to get trackerupdate.tcl to run from cron but it always fails with the following error:

    WARNING: couldn't scan startup script /tvlib/tcl/tv/tv.ini
    WARNING: eval result : can't read "env(TIVO_ROOT)": no such element in array---- Tracker For Cron
    started at Aug 15, 2007 05:00:01 GMT
    about to run tracker_init -->
    <-- completed tracker_init
    about to run tracker_update -->
    unable to initialize filesystem
    while executing
    "dbopen $dbPoolSize"
    (procedure "tracker_update" line 16)
    invoked from within
    (file "/var/hack/trackerupdate.tcl" line 677)

    I can run the command manually without problems and also a simple cron job such as "date >> /var/log/cron.test.log" works fine.

    Any ideas?

    OK, I've sussed it.

    In crontab it had a line saying TIVO_ROOT=

    Changing this to TIVO_ROOT="" seems to fix the problem.
