He was on Ellen the other day, and said that the humidity and 110 degree Dallas weather was brutal. So I guess Dallas can pass for Panama.

Also mentioned that it will be a longsleeve season.

Ah, when they showed the previews, they mentioned they were for the entire season, so I turned it off immediately. I usually watch them, but not when they show "coming up this season...." previews.

    thanks for the info.

I deleted my SP for this early last season. The promos for this episode convinced me to record it, but I couldn't even make it past the 20 minute mark. IMO, this show should have lasted a single season.

I am so glad you didn't say "Slave Leia"! But that is exactly what I thought when they panned up to the image of the main thug watching over the courtyard fight!

I think that it has been a week max since MariCruz (and her mom) were stashed by Bellick. Sucre and Bellick spent a day or two in Mexico looking for T-Bag then went down to Panama were they ran into Michael. Craziness ensues and between that point and the start of season 3, only two days or so have passed in Panama. Bellick said she had enough food to last for two-three weeks I think.

I guess this means I need to keep my eyes peeled for Wentworth Miller sightings around town :D

I'm sure he and I hang out in all the same places.

Except I'm not convinced that Belleck told the truth when he said he kidnapped Maricruz.
Maricruz and the aunt could have been out somewhere else and when Sucre showed up, Bellick improvised to keep him under control.

I don't think Bellick offed them though. He's pretty scummy but I don't think he's a cold blooded killer.

I didn't love this episode. It does feel more than a bit contrived. I'll try a few more episodes, and I bet I'll just suck it up and keep watching because I'm lazy. :)

Did anyone else notice that Dominic Purcell's and Wentworth Miller's names have been switched in the credits? Dominic Purcell is now getting top billing. Or I'm really, seriously, more dyslexic than I thought.

No, I noticed that too. It mirrors the first season, when Lincoln was wrongly imprisoned. The whole opening credits sequence was reminiscent of season 1, right down to some of the camera angles/shots of the new jail.

Dominic Purcell's name has always been first in the credits. I just finished the season 2 DVDs and every time I paid attention to the credits, Dominic was first.

Huh. I could have sworn that Wentworth Miller's name used to be first in the credits. Oh well, that's the final straw. I gotta lay down the crack pipe once and for all. :)

It was very, very contrived. But, I still liked it.

As long as T-Bag is a character on this show, I'm watching. That must be one really fun role to play, getting to be over-the-top evil like that.

I like all of the characters, actually. They do so much with poor writing, that it's worth watching to me.

I'm way late to this party - I've been waiting for a friend who just finished Season 2 on DVD today - but I wanted to chime in about this since I didn't see it mentioned: the inmate run prison is, I'm fairly certain, inspired by this place in Brazil (since the mid-90s, I think) where that very thing happened - major riot caused the officials to evacuate and inmates ran the joint. Not sure what the (real life) finale to that scenario was though but I remember there was something on National Geographic (or was it the Discovery Channel?) about the whole thing.

Personally, I had very low expectations for this season (the setup from the end of season 2 seemed liked a total rehash) but, though I'm in the minority here, I think this season will be excellent.

I really enjoyed 'meeting' all the new characters. Good to see homie from The Wire on this. :)
