Actually, a Canadian spin-off.
Sounds like they're dumping the cool backtory in favor of glitz.
Had to laugh at the new version having "a ... sexier cast."
For my money, the British version was doing just fine in that regard.
And "younger"? The British edition wasn't exactly populated by senior citizens!
Unless the Canadian cast will be exclusively children...
Sexy children of course.
Maybe the casting director is trolling those kiddie beauty pageants..?
See 1st action-packed, dino-filled trailer for Primeval New World
Most likely it will be available by magical means for those of us not in the U.K or Canada.
The lack of Hannah Spearitt is a bummer. I wonder what their explanation is for the anti-anomaly squad now being in Canada.
What, you think when dinosaurs start popping up in Vancouver, the Canadians are going to be all "Oh, Welsh people, hurry up and save us, eh!"
Seriously, though, there would be anti-anomaly squads all over the world. We're just going to be seeing another one.
Oops, that was Torchwood. Primeval was the North, wasn't it?
I thought you mixed it up with Torchwood. I think Primeval is in London.
It started airing in Canada yesterday. Let magical means ensue.
Syfy is supposed to be showing it sometime next year.
"Primeval: New World will follow North American animal experts and scientists as they discover the appearances of pre-historic and futuristic creatures...
Production is set to start in the winter of 2012 and the show will be filmed mostly in Vancouver.
That does it. Was planning 1st visit evah to Vancouvah next fall but NFW with dinos and exotic beasts lurking around. This will kill tourism.
It took you this long to figure that out?
My rule of thumb is, if it happens on an alien planet, it happens in Vancouver.
How did it start airing in Canada yesterday but production isn't set to begin until winter 2012. How much time travel is going on here?
I think this "corruption" of the original show should get it's own thread
Primeval: New World Canceled
Doesn't shock me...I think they finally started to figure out what they were doing the last 2-3 episodes, but by then it must have been way too late.
