Pricing Question on new Tivos

    I recently got HD Cable and the package came with the cable company's horrific excuse for a DVR. My series 2 tivo got relegated to the tiny bedroom TV as a result, but I miss everything about it. I think it's time to kick the faux-DVR to the curb and get a Tivo HD.

    My issue is that I have a great per month price on the S2, and I'm wondering if I could transfer the plan to the Tivo HD? Or do I *have* to sign up on a completely new Tivo subscription?

    Yes, you can.

    You click "Manage My Account" at Tivo.com. Then you click "Change service number." Replace your current service number with the new service number for the TivoHD. That's it. You're done.

    You'll pay the same thing you are now, except you'll have the TivoHD on your account instead of the Series2.
