The maximum subscription fee is currently 16.95/mo., not 19.99.

Indeed. Generally, prices do increase, for all services, everywhere, at all times. It is rare for prices to decrease, as it has for a TiVo subscription, reduced now to $16.95 from an earlier high of $19.95.

You mean like how VCRs increased from $1000+ when they first came out to $100ish now?

    Clean your eyeglasses, Joey.
Last time I checked, a "VCR" was a product, not a service.

I mean like how the price for a typical Florida vacation package has increased.

I mean like how the price for a haircut has increased.

I mean like how the price for water/sewer has increased.

I mean like how the price for health care has increased.

    Understand now? :D

TiVo has never charged anyone $19.99/mo for service, it has always been less than that.

Sorry, Mick, but you're mistaken. Scroll down to where TiVoStephen says "Here are the pricing choices:" under "Section 3: New Pricing Options" the "1: Bundled pricing" header in this thread.

    It wasn't $19.99/mo, but there's very little difference between $19.99/mo. and $19.95/mo.

Sorry, bidger. There is a difference, no matter how small you think it is.
    My response stands as correct.

How many angles do angels dancing on the head of a pin actually intersect with? :p

I'm sorry that you feel that way. Although, most people would consider someone who only posts 3 times per year (average) as irrelevant, I appreciate the fact that you felt compelled to publicly state that you didn't like my response, as if your response had some real relevance.
Most people tend to not like being told they are wrong when they aren't, especially by people who want to quibble with the facts and prove themselves wrong in the process.

Undisputable fact: TiVo has never charged anyone $12.99/mo for anything.

Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to your next post - I'm guessing October. :)
