I only have HBO at this point, and I waffle back and forth on that. I think there's only a couple of series I watch on it now, with Big Love being over. I like Bored to Death and Boardwalk Empire, and when it comes back Curb Your Enthusiasm. I watch the occasional documentary and Real Sports (I can live without that one) and Boxing (another thing that has gone downhill....they have 3rd tier fights now, the same type of fights that used to be on ESPN or network TV back 20 years ago). As for the movies, sure there are less, and I've seen most of them by the time they get to HBO despite never getting to a theater. But it's simple enough to record a lot of movies when they have their preview weekends and watch them when I get a chance. So really, having the premiums are not a bid deal unless you are hooked on a series.

We have always suscribed to every movie channel possible for years.
Lately I have noticed good movies are never on when I sit down and watch t.v.

We recently got a large hard drive for the Tivo. So I went though and set a recording for every movie we would want to record to watch.
    Guess what?
    There is very little.
If not for the original series, I think the premium stations would offer us nothing.
I am trying to finds the nerve to drop them all and see the original programming in BITS and pieces.

I use to get showtime just for "Nurse Jackie" and "Dexter". And they used to air about the same time so I would cancel it when the series were over. This year I kept it and glad I did, cuz I watched what I think were the 2 best comedys of the year,"Episodes and Shameless" well whatever you could call Shameless, I call it epic!

I also have HBO through a deal with cable company, but I don't think i've watched 1-2 movies off that in the 8 months I've had it. Only series I watch is "True Blood"

I was just thinking to myself yesterday about dropping all my premium movie channels. Every night I scan the lineup and there are very few movies I have any interest in watching. Certainly not enough to justify the cost.

Boardwalk Empire is the only reason I'd keep HBO, and it's not even showing new episodes now.
