Occasionally my premiere will lock up on playback and reboot.
Are there any logs to tell me if it is internal disk or external?

Ideally the system could identify the offending area of the disk and lock it out, if not I was thinking of using a disk testing tool.

There are still many bugs in this release. You may be seeing known bugs in the current version of software.

Modern drives typically remap bad sectors, although you might still get many errors as the bad sectors are encountered and remapped.

I'd suggest turning off the HDUI if you're using it and see if the lockups go away. That could be the source of your problem, in particular if you have internet connectivity issues. Premiere is still buggy.

You can run a HDD diagnostic (aka Kickstart 54) following this procedure.
