Advertisements I have an old 4:3 CRT HDTV that supports 480p and 1080i. When I set up my RCN Premiere a few months ago I set it to 4:3 Smart Screen, and it properly displayed SD content in 480p (filling the screen) and HD content in 1080i (with TV-supplied letterboxing). I used the SD menus, which were displayed in 480p as well. But then a couple of days ago, it seems to have decided that it wants to use 1080i for everything, including SD content, which shows up surrounded by black bars. I can manually switch to 480p by hitting the up button on the remote, but that shouldn't be necessary, and wasn't necessary before. The SD menus are now output in 1080i as well. I checked and my video settings haven't changed; the TV is still set to 4:3 Smart Screen, and the output formats are still set to 480p and 1080i. At about the same time, the TiVo Commander Android app that I use (which uses the iPad app interface) started displaying "0% disk used", where previously it was accurate. Any ideas? Was there a software update recently or something? EDIT: It also has stopped listing my pyTivo at the bottom of My Shows, though pyTivo logs a connection request from the TiVo once a minute.
