This is from CRWEWORLD on Redditt. Im not gonna list the entire article here but Pluto is the largest free tv service . I have seen it lately and it is quite nice.

Looks like they have real cable channels, which is good. Maybe this is why the tivo stream 4k has been delayed...

yeah the article says they agreed today. If I HAD to live with no cable, Pluto TV would suffice. They even have 4k channel(s).

Pluto TV much better than that garbage TIVO+ is using now. Add Pluto and scrap the other,

Pluto TV prior to the Viacom acquisition was just okay, but the unnatural commercial breaks made it hard to tolerate beyond short bursts. Post Viacom, it's really had to justify a full cable sub as it seems there is enough there to occupy the time. If this supplements TiVo+, good. If it replaces it, all the better!

It’s a press release. They’re only going to mention their flagship products.

Tivo+ is already on devices back to Roamio. There’s no reason not to add this to previous models.

The entire business model is based on the amount of eyeballs.

They don't, really. What they have are sort of "highlight channels" that contain selected content from "real" cable channels, but delayed. (In some cases, like the MTV channels, that doesn't really matter. With the news channels, it's bad.)

They don't, really. There's a channel with "4K" in its name, but when I checked, it was actually 720p. (This was on an Apple TV 4K.)

The Xumo content isn't bad. The biggest problem (last I checked) was the lack of guide data, which was a TiVo+ implementation problem rather than a Xumo problem -- the LG webOS version isn't like that.

Maybe TiVo should just licence Pluto and rename it TiVo+ Uranus TV .

It’s on mine too. But won’t launch.

Weird that it’s not a part of TiVo+.

it launches, but it's slow and hard to navigate not as easy as the web page or other pluto apps like roku or firetv

I had to do a network connect to get it to launch.

Man is this thing SLOW! The guide is buggy as heck and took me forever to find the channel I wanted.

Pluto commercials are always annoying and also buggy and they’re no different here. When I first tuned the channel I wanted all I got for about 5 minutes was a Pluto logo placeholder for commercials.

I hope they allow us the OPTION to include some/all channels in the guide so we can easily watch from there. But the fact that it’s it’s own app, I’m not hopeful there.

Right now it’s like TiVo+ with better programming but less promotion/integration into the UI.

App landed on my TE3 Bolts today. Man, it runs like molasses - clicking around is slow as. Weird, considering most other apps perform just fine. Maybe because it’s new, and not really optimised yet?
