Playing Tivo files on a chromebook

I have previously used Tivo Desktop to download .tivo files to my windows laptop. Now I am thinking of getting a chromebook and I don't think they will not play on there.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to use kmttg to decrypt the .tivo files and then copy them to a chromebook to play? Is there any loss in quality when doing that?

Thanks for your help

Yes kmttg can do this. Choose an encode profile that works well without reduction in resolution and you should see no quality reduction along with smaller file sizes.

For the chromebook, choose an mp4 container with h.264 video and aac audio and should play fine.
