It wasn't a "hit out of the park" episode, but it was still fun and entertaining. Funny that Ann started getting all the pictures on her phone. And that Jerry apparently has a big one :D

I'm sad they broke up Ben and Leslie. I mean, I'm sure we're not finished with it, but they were by far my favorite TV couple of all time.

It was a solid line drive up the middle. :)

I would have given it a double, but Rob Lowe's hair bugged me too much. I kept waiting for him to be unmasked as the perp because he looked so skeevy. :)

Same here... I think they did that on purpose. Classic mis-direction. I didn't like it.

As Sepinwall said, they had too much plot to deal with from the season finale that they couldn't hit a home run, but it was still a great episode.

Loved when Rob Lowe said, "Ann, your inbox is 'literally' filled with penises."

Also, the episode title reminds me of one of my favorite Leslie Knope moments: "I'm Leslie Knope, and this is Nightline."

    :D

I started rewatching this again tonight. I think the first scene with Ron grabbing Leslie, getting his bag and leaving was my favorite part. I paused to see that the bag was marked "Tammy 1."

    He says 'literally' about everything.

A few month's ago, CBS Sunday Morning did a segment on Lowe in connection with his recently published book. The use of 'literally' in every other sentence appears to be a tick of his speech, not just the P&R character.

That's why it was so funny, because this time it was an accurate use of the word.

I'm sure Hank thinks that the joke was literally too obvious.

But literally every time he uses that term, it is literally an accurate use of the word. What makes this one time any different than any of the others? Just because he said "penis"?

I'm not as huge a fan of this show as the rest of the people in this thread, but recently "got back into it" in the past few weeks.. (Watched my Tivoed S3 episodes that were laying around and caught up.)

Since Ron hates government so much (he's libertarian and thinks it's a waste of taxpayer money)... Why does he work there? Has he ever explained that?

I do think he's a very funny character though.

I always thought he basically wants to be there to discourage additional work and spending. Almost like he knows that the department is going to be there, so he has to be there to impede its "progress".

But if he's discouraging additional work, by doing that, he's essentially wasting people's time, and thus tax money...
