What? A Ron Swanson episode and no thread yet? Leslie Knope is the Mary Poppins of municipal government -- practically perfect in every way.

If they could have gotten Will Arnett to cameo as one of the Segway Cops it would have been complete.

That would have been perfect! Too bad they didn't. Although with Amy P. being married to Will, I'm sure they've thought about including him as a recurring character and don't want to waste an appearance by him on such a background character. But the joke would have been awesome for AD fans.

Just loved the tag at the end with Ron experiencing sheer bliss by stuffing his mouth full of meat and watching explosions on TV. Classic!

Other way around -- Shelbyville is the poor one.

But Springfield isn't really considered rich. So maybe Eagleton = Capital City.

He already did a guest spot - a tech at the hospital who Ann set-up with Leslie during season 2. He gave Leslie an MRI as part of the date.

I loved the phone "conversation" that April was having, asking about inflatable saxophones and fedoras.

And Leslie's end present was perfect for Ron.

I think I meant more in the fact that it's "the other city that we hate" as opposed to a direct correlation.

    Me too.

As well as similar opinions on steak and breakfast foods.

As far as war movies? Not so much, I don't care for them.

I loved the ending. Leslie really gets Ron, and it's kind of sweet.

Similar. Eagleton/Shelbyville were both founded by former Pawnee/Springfield residents, but Shelbyville was founded by cousins who wanted to marry each other, while Eagleton folks deemed the (Pawnee) smell unpleasant and the soil untenable.
