I was a bit disappointed with how the Amber story played out. Thought for sure the season would end with Sarah escorting her to rehab; instead, they went the touchy-feely "I forgive you and everything is fine" route. I expect, and hope, that they're not done exploring her addictive personality. I don't relish the thought of the additional, and artificial, conflict a third kid will bring to Adam and Kristina. Not only that, but the entire premise seems flawed: it's pretty obvious that they were done with their family, and Adam seems like a responsible enough guy to have had "the big V" long ago. Just doesn't make sense, and I wonder if they're doing this as part of a larger miscarriage story line for next season to give Kristina some more depth...goodness knows she could use it. Jasmine comes back to Crosby...but not until after he admits that their relationship problems are all on him. Meh. Their pairing never worked, and she needed to take responsibility for her huge role in driving him away. She infantilized him, plain and simple, and I was very much hoping that his "I won't pursue you any more" comments would be the end of their relationship. Peter Krause was especially fantastic this week, though. His interactions with Max are always the highlight for me, and the hospital meltdown and subsequent father-son dialogue was some of the best stuff they've written all season.
