Signed up for Paramount+ service and I am really disappointed with some basic things you would think a streaming service should offer:
    1. No wishlist/my list feature for bookmarking shows of interest.
    2. Resume from pause point doesn't seem to work at all for me on my Nvidia Shield. I pause in an episode and then later on when I start App again not only does it start playing automatically (even though I have auto play turned off), but it most often starts playing the beginning of the previous episode!
    3. It's one of those where you have to press select twice just to pause/resume the stream. I have to remember to use the dedicated Nvidia remote pause/play, ff, rew buttons because this service stupidly doesn't use the dpad properly.

I was signed up for CBS All Access about a year back or so and don't remember having all of these issues, but I think it's because I subscribed via Amazon at the time.

Anyone else encounter the above issues? Very dissapointing...

This lack of uniformity in playback controls is my biggest complaint about Android TV in general. While the OS allows for the inclusion of dedicated playback remote control buttons, it doesn't require or expect it. If you look at Google's own Android TV developer devices, they only have the D-pad with center button. And Google doesn't require all apps to adhere to some degree of uniformity in terms of how they respect to D-pad clicks. They should force all apps to pause when the center button is clicked, and also bring up the on-screen UI at the same time, then resume play when it's clicked again. A single left-click or right-click on the D-pad during playback should skip backward or forward several seconds while keeping left or right pressed down during playback should rewind or FF. When video is paused, the pressing up or down on the D-pad should allow you to navigate to other on-screen controls (e.g. closed captions, other videos/episodes, playback speed, etc.).

Unfortunately, not all Android TV apps work that way. You just have to learn a slightly different set of behaviors for each one.

This all goes back to the argument I had months ago with local storage vs streaming for entertainment. Watching on my TiVo, assuming the content is there, is far easier than watching via any streamer. Streaming, while having so much more content, always seems like a chore to view. One specific issue for me, I tend to nod off watching a lot of entertainment. Scrolling back to a familiar point ranges anywhere from difficult to almost impossible on all the streaming interfaces. On TiVo, it's a piece of cake.

I haven't had these issues on the P+ app. Still behaves like the old CBS AA app for me on my Shield, even though the logo and splash screen have changed.

You should probably PM a mod to have this merged into the existing thread at Paramount Plus (Formerly CBS All Access) since this isn't Tivo related.

The missing wish/watchlist has been my biggest complaint so far

Me 3 about no watchlist functionality, which I also mentioned in the referenced thread.

That, and that some people who were eligible for the discount and had it applied to their account still got charged for the full year price. I'll need to see what happens to me in a few days when my trial period is done. In those cases they were already subscribers or previous subscribers, whereas I'm a brand new subscriber. So we shall see.

I still think somebody needs to integrate Fitbit monitoring into TV viewing, with the system being able to detect when your breathing and/or heart rate have slowed to a pace indicating sleep.

I used to have a TiVo and now I watch everything through my Apple TV 4K. And honestly, I find it simpler/faster to use it than a TiVo in terms of quickly scrubbing through a video to find a specific point. The great majority (though not quite all) streaming video apps on Apple TV have a thumbnail preview on the video timeline. Then you just quickly swipe left or right to rewind or FF, with the speed corresponding to how quickly you swipe. It's simply the most efficient way I've experienced to scrub through video.

Exactly. Having similar issues here. It's inexcusable to have these basic issues given this is a successor to the well established All Access. Almost wants to make me cancel when 1 month trial ends and pay them nothing. May still well do that.

Issues unique to using Paramount+ on a TiVo device are fine here but universal discussion of the service is better suited in the existing thread.

Don't see how that's possible given there is no wishlist/my list for Paramount+ confirmed by multiple users using Apps on multiple devices, so if nothing else issue 1 should apply to you as well (but may be a don't care).

My TV has a "play next" feature for apps and will keep track of what I have been watching on an app and what episode to play next.

I use my TV's app and in the past have used the AppleTV app.. (they were technically CBS all access then but the UI is really virtually identical, with added programming)

there's not a 'my stuff'/wishlist, so I agree with you there. Though it does have the shows you have watched recently near the top.

I haven't had problems with it not remembering me being paused, and IIRC, any of the streaming services I use DO go to the next episode when you finish one -- I mean next in the list.. (I hate hate hate hate all auto-play and the "features" that make it hard to watch the credits all the way through)
