I have a Premiere XL (older two tuner 150 hr)

I'm going to transition over to a Bolt and a Mini soon.

I'm thinking I should do alright just moving the cable card to the Bolt and running my Tivo service into the new box.

My question is: can I run the Premiere "offline" as video player until i have seen the stored content?

will it allow me to view stored content without the cable card and network connection?

I tried moving content with the desktop program and it didn't really work for me (copyrighted)

    thank you

Yes. Perhaps. A TiVo will always play what it has recorded. Networking requires service.

As long as it still has Tivo service, you can do everything it used to do. You can transfer the shows over to a PC or Tivo, stream the shows from it.

If you do not want it to record shows any more, just remove the passes.

Its better if it has lifetime service, which means never having to pay for that time and time again. The selling pont is even better with lifetime, than without.

If it does not have lifetime, call Tivo and try to get a deal on lifetime instead of cancelling service. Its likely you can get $99 or $199.
