Using a Linksys WRT54GL router can I configure Port Range Forwarding and/or Port Triggering so that I can access two Tivos remotely via https://..../nowplaying/index.html access of sorts? Right now I am only able to link port 443 to a single LAN IP address of one Tivo. I would like to configure my Linksys to map two Tivos to two higher port numbers, not using 443; does anyone know if this can be done with a stock Linksys firmware or a custom Linksys code?

Sorry I'm not familiar with the Linksys firmware.

I do this with a DLink router forwarding say port 9000 to port 443 of TiVo1 and say port 9001 to port 443 of TiVo2. Works great, hope you get it working on your Linksys.

I'm not sure if you managed to setup your router for port fowarding, but anyone who has, the new version v0.60 of TiVoPlayList now makes it easy to access your TiVo or multiple TiVo machines remotely. Check out the new Advanced Settings window where you can specify a different port for each machine.

TiVoPlayList v0.60 will allow you to map both port 80 and 443 so that you can use higher port numbers (thanks!).

I configured a NetGear router for my brother and I was able to map high ports on the WAN side to specific LAN addresses & the local port numbers.

    homeip.net:port 8080 - wan [router] lan - 192.168.1.21:port 80 [tivo 1]
    homeip.net:port 8443 - wan [router] lan - 192.168.1.21:port 443 [tivo 1]
    homeip.net:port 9080 - wan [router] lan - 192.168.1.22:port 80 [tivo 2]
    homeip.net:port 9443 - wan [router] lan - 192.168.1.22:port 443 [tivo 2]

Best I can tell the Linksys (4 port wireless router) WRT54GL will only allow you to map a WAN port number to a single LAN IP. To further limit you, it will not allow you to map higher number ports on the WAN to lower numbers on the LAN (or at least I haven't figured out how to do so).

I'm sure you can do this on your Linksys router if you load the DD-WRT firmware.
