No reception, (white screen), no sound, picture freezes on selected channels-already found this to be true on ABC, CNN, and others, mostly my favorites. CBS and MSNBC, for example, are fine. I have had excellent reception for several years. Could this be my TIVO or Samsung Smart TV going bad? Clamshell accessory is green. I have tried resetting, etc., with no change.

There's a higher probability that it's your cable company. Have you called them? If you have a TA, have you reset it?

Yes, I called Cox. They said if I get some channels that it is not their problem. I have reset my Tivo. What does TA mean?

I don't agree with their assessment. However, my signature has a link to abbreviations like -> Rovi Lineup Issues & Corrections A TA is a tuning adapter. It would connect to your TiVo's USB port. What model TiVo do you have?

Perhaps you could add your location in case someone near you also has Cox. I would also suggest mapping the missing channels and their frequencies in Diagnostics. That could be boring however. It could point to an issue at your local headend.

Thanks for your patience. I reset it again this morning and it is OK now. My model is TVD658000, January 2013, 150 recording hours. It is old, but it has worked perfectly all these years. I have a lifetime subscription on it, and I love it. I know it won't last forever, but it's working fine right now. Thanks so much

Cox is always messing with my TA especially if left connected to a premium channel like HBO.

If you're up to repairing your TiVo many people here will help guide you through the steps. Also, there are many fine vendors that'll repair your TiVo if it fails and can even transfer recordings to another larger hard drive if you want more space. You could get many more years of use. My original series one still worked til TiVo stopped supporting it.

I never thought about checking on this forum for TIVO repair people. If I ever need a repair person, I will check in here.
