How come no one put up the Verizon scheduling price of $1.99? That's alot better than $5, or have I forgotten something?

And that's a relatively good Shanan video.

Huh? Wasn't it $1.99 from the beginning? It's a terrible piece of software anyway. It took me 20 minutes the other night to figure out how to sign in on my VX9800. The phone has a qwerty keyboard however, the software is designed for a 10 key phone. I was trying to input numbers that are part of my email address and special characters kept displaying. It took me a while to figure out what was happening and I missed the program I wanted to record. I uninstalled it right away. I can't figure out why they would design software like that especially when I can't use Tivo Mobile when the phone is closed so it is impossible to ever use the 10 keypad to navigate the software.

It's BREW. Doesn't work with some smartphones. Can't use it.

I think it should be free as something to entice people to buy tivo.

There are better ways to do remote scheduling over a phone. Plus it only works with Verizon.

It was back in the original announcement... "less than $5"

    http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=3836703&&#post3836703

Obviously $1.99 is less than $5. Anyway, they are promoting it and the video isn't bad.

I guess it was released in March @ $1.99

Not a lot of enthusiasm in these low post threads.

It's been $2 since it was released. I tried it when it came out. After some initial glitches it worked fine, but I didn't see it worth $24/year to use it.

I think TiVo should just put up a phone friendly web site alternative of their own. Nothing fancy - just schedule shows. Offer that Free and make a big deal of scheduling shows from any web enabled phone. This Verizon only and pay monthly for a cruddy service is just nuts and of so little use to anybody.

I found a phone that could get the app. It says airtime will be charged. Does that mean in addition to $1.99 I am using voice minutes or what?

Hey, I do this for free on my MDA via my Slingbox and I can watch what was recorded. I don't quite get the Verizon App.

I think it's mostly worthless (and, come on -- yet another fee?), but I did see something in the video that made me think, "Why can't I do that on the Tivo itself?": "Most Popular Shows".

As far as Tivo/Verizon collaborations, I'd rather see them working on enabling Fios VOD for Tivos.

Too bad Shanan couldn't sing and dance to the Bananaphone song.

If it were free I might use it occasionally, but I've never run into a situation where I had to setup a recording before I could get to a PC to schedule that way. Right now, I just send myself a text reminder to set the recording.

I don't have Verizon. But it was nice to see yet another new video from Shanan.

I can. Typical cell company maneuver. EVERY little thing costs $2 a month. It is a total rip-off that I'd NEVER pay.
