There don't seem to be any threads since July. Has everyone lost interest?
It's not exactly breaking new ground dramatically. Once the initial arc was complete in season one or early two, there was nothing much to say. Soap Opera artificial propping up is what we're getting: romances in the squad, who will be the new Chief, the lawsuit, who is the mole (as if there were any way but one to go with that).
Frequent cute bits from interesting actors, though; I'm still watching. But its passing (after two more "final" mini seasons; never since Lost has a final "season" been so drawn out) will not be mourned.
Obviously it would be impossible logistically, but the series would have been far better as an occasional TV movie, like Selleck's Jesse Stone.
I lost interest as soon as I found out that there would be a lawsuit.
I love the show, and I think this season is just as strong as any other. Just don't often contribute to show discussions here, is all.
Never watched it. Can't stand Kyra Sedgwick. There are just some actresses that I don't like to watch, and she's one of them. Can't explain it. Sorry for the threadcrap.
I'm still enjoying it and watch every episode immediately. It's been really good the past 2 seasons. Looking forward to Mary McDonnell in "Major Crimes".
I was pretty disappointed at the (very) end of the most recent episode...
We still watch and enjoy, but it's definitely 2nd or 3rd tier on the priority scale.
Flynn and Provenza are the Lucy and Ethel of the show and personal faves
I enjoy it but when a show gets to be two or three years old, the thread discussions dimenish.
I loved the Flynn/Provenza centric episode a few back. Hilarious!
I love the show, but I'm playing catch up. I had a bunch of shows archived to watch, and my husband forgot to unplug my TiVo before vacation and I lost them all.
Love the show also - and I think this season has had some of the strongest episodes of the series.
Like many others - the lawsuit backstory was...
And what I hate more than anything on TV shows - is when they resolve a storyline - only to reveal it's NOT resolved.
I think I groaned out last at the final scene the other night.
Although I gotta say I LOVE her lawyer - he cracks me up.
Haven't they also announced this is the final season after it comes back from the summer break or did I just make that up?
I've watched every episode since the show began. I liked it better the first couple of seasons when things were not quite so serious.
Yes. The show will end with the spring half season and the replacement, Major Crimes, will take it's place.
Big fan here... Just not big enough a fan to start a thread I guess!
Angie, What a bummer! Why would not unplugging the TiVo cause you to lose your shows?
I'm guessing short on space and other shows recorded over them.
Oh, hadn't thought of that. I set things I record to 'keep until I delete' so that it doesn't get overwritten.
Apparently, we will get 5 episodes in November/December and then it will return next summer (and that's it)
