What did everyone think of "Plastic Fantastic"?
Pretty good episode, I thought, making fun at their show and their

I thought it was great. Fun stuff.

I'm guessing that most people will dislike it, claiming that it's too over the top.

18 minutes in, episode deleted. Season pass deleted. We've long past moved into bait & switch territory where this show is absolutely nothing like it was the first 2 years and now it's really little more than a joke of itself. If you think this season has been in any way good, I strongly suggest you watch any 2 or 3 episodes from the first two seasons and try to say that again with a straight face.

I enjoyed it too. This show is already so over the top, it can't get any more shark jumpity. Hmm... Maybe an episode where NASA decides they need a plastic surgeon for emergency surgery after an accident on the International Space Station, and they need to send McNamara&Troy into space?

I think it's gotten back to season 1 and 2 goodness. Not quite as good, but still very enjoyable. I must be dumb.

I enjoyed it too! Since I'm a reality junkie, I appreciated the satire, plus they even managed to move a few plotlines on a bit. I especially liked the Plastic Fantastic (great name) opening credits and bumpers between the ads. And the New York cameo was pretty funny - even though it mostly did a good job of showing that she can't even act when she's playing herself. :p

I was surfing and not paying complete attention while watching this episode, so can someone please explain a couple of things to me? Did Olivia and Liz really kiss? I thought Christian was making it up on advice from New York. And if they did kiss, was it shown? I would have liked to have seen that.

Liked the episode, despite a LOT of Julia.

Although I don't completely agree with Doug, this show has definitely fallen from the "one of my favorite shows of all time" goodness that it was in Seasons 1 & 2. It's a complete caricature of itself, but still a guilty pleasure. For me, it's like NBC's Las Vegas... You know going in that it's just completely ridiculous and cartoony .. yet you keep coming back for more.

I liked it better as a really intense, envelope-pushing drama. Lately it's more comedy. I'm still waiting for the episode where Julia steps in front of a bus. Then again, that's been done.

It has to be Eden that steps in front of the bus. After the kiss she and sean had, that would really teach him to fantasize about younger, troublesome girls.

You'd think he'd have learned his lesson by now. Wasn't it Sean who had the young PItA who did step in front of a bus and die last season?

    I really enjoyed the episode!

But how much has Christian been escorting if this guy knew all about him and was threatened by him?

Weird. I just watched the last 4 episodes in the last 2 days, and when I was done, I was pretty pleased that the show had actually returned to its form from the original season or so. I am not sure you are properly recalling how absurd the show was back then. I think they got way out of whack with the carver, and the church stuff... but this season is definately a lot more lighter than the previous few seasons and much more like the first season, at least to me.

I watched the first 2 seasons in a marathon style, pretty much back-to-back 4 or 5 episodes a day till I was done, just before season 3 got going or maybe right in the middle of it.

Some of the stuff back then was mildly outrageous. Now they've given up on anything even trying to resemble a defined reality and have just gone into plain stupid mode. And I suppose there's some market for that, but it's not what I signed up for when I watched the first 2 or 3 seasons. A lot of this began with season 4, but with season 5 they seem to have just given up entirely.

They strapped hams to a dead drug lord and threw him in a swamp in the pilot. And you draw the line at a parody of a reality show? That does not make any kind of sense. At least we don't have to read your unreasonable complaints next week.

Excuse me, but that storyline actually made sense if you've ever been in the Everglades.

Trust me; the feeling is very mutual.
