This is definitely one of the very few new shows I've even set up a OP for.. just haven't gotten to it yet.

In this reality it was Person of Interest. In the alternate universe, it was Fringe...

Why are they airing every other week? My Tivo didn't record the last episode even though I have a season pass. Funny thing is I didn't even notice. It took looking at my season passes to remind me the show should be recording.

No, the third episode was supposed to air this week (after skipping a week), but it got delayed for some reason (I'm guessing some sports thing). It can't air next Tuesday because some bizarre US thing as well. So the third episode will air on like the 10th because of all this craziness.

World Series Game Six Tue 1/27, Presidential Election Tue 11/3. I'd been looking for E3 but didn't see it anywhere. I was afraid it already got cancelled, but it's just unfortunate timing. I still haven't watched an episode. LOL. Maybe I'll binge the first three episodes on 11/10.

Thanks for the info, I saw the episode is floating around the pirate sites and thought it aired.

I watched E03 over VOD on DirecTV, mostly because I thought that it had aired. Kind of weird that it was on VOD before it aired.

That was what happened to me, FOX said "IN TWO WEEKS" but at the end it gave me the option to watch on demand. Ok Fox... now I get to wait.

Yeah, I watched episode 2, and it said episode 3 was to air "In two weeks". Meanwhile, the 3rd episode was on VOD after Episode 2. All the guide data I have said it was supposed to have been on the 27th. But now it all says is new episodes on the 10th, and tribune says it's the 3rd episode.

I liked it. I thought it was the best new show of the season, though the fact that it's my only show so far might have something to do with it. I don't expect anything remotely resembling realism on this type of show, though one of the already mentioned spoilers was pretty bad.

I just hope it has a decent ending before it gets the ax.

What a shame.. I liked it. Since I don't like cliffhangers, I'm just going to stop watching now so I don't have to worry about that.

Yeah, cancelled because they could air 2 episodes in a month and a half because Fox was more interested in airing sports and other things. Hard to build up ratings when a show keeps getting bumped off the schedule

wtf... I could only stomach half an episode of Filthy Rich (I already watched the superior Righteous Gemstones) before bailing out, but they didn't even give NeXt a chance.

The series premiere episode did terrible. 1.8 million viewers 0.3 rating among adults 18-49 and 0.1 rating with adults 18-34. It was the worst premiere ratings for any of the shows on Fox this year. Ratings would have had to improve dramatically for it to have had any chance at all. The second episode dropped to 1.5 million viewers and kept the same 0.3 and 0.1 demo ratings.
With those ratings for the first two episodes I don't think anything short of a miracle would have saved the show.
And of course they care more about sports which usually gets higher ratings and brings in more ad money. The World series game six that bumped the third episode of Next got 10.3 million viewers and a 2.7 in the 18-49 demographic.
I like this show and I am going to continue watching the rest of the episodes that they are going to air but those first two episode's ratings pretty much doomed it.

Yeah, so Next is judged on 2 episodes. Whereas Filthy Rich has 5 episodes to judge ratings on. Episodes 3 onwards could've brought higher ratings, but they won't ever now because no one who hasn't already watched the first two would bother watching a killed series.

Crap. I liked the second episode. I'll watch the remaining episode. Hopefully, the AI wins.

This is something I don't understand at all.

They're airing the rest of the episodes, why not wait and see how some of the subsequent ones do before cancellation? They've already paid for them, and will be airing them, so why not wait? Would they have started shooting the 2nd season soon, had it not been cancelled?

That reminds me of the Rob Lowe series, The Lyon's Den. They saw the writing on the wall, and knew the final episodes wouldn't be aired (7 episodes were unaired) so they finished the 13 episode order but purposely made them as absurd as possible, making Rob Lowe a mass murderer.
