New Year's Marathons (and more)...

    Last year I missed some things and read about them here after the fact, so thought I would start a thread...

    BBC America is a great place to watch favorite British shows Christmas specials (which is very popular programming in Britain - for example Doctor Who, AbFab, Gavin and Stacey, Are You Being Served, Keeping Up Appearances and more)...

    New Year's Marathons I have noticed so far...

    BBC America is running a Doctor Who marathon starting at midnight NYE.

    Need I even mention SyFy's Annual Twilight Zone Marathon? Starts at 8 am NYE and goes through Saturday morning.

    BBCA's Dr Who marathon culminates with a showing of the Season 5, the "Last of Tennant/ beginning of Matt Smith" sequence:
    The Next Doctor at 3:00 Pm
    Planet of the Dead at 4:15 PM
    Waters of Mars at 5:30
    The End of Time, Part 1 at 6:45
    I'm assuming The End of Time part 2 will be shown sometime that day, perhaps at 8:00, or maybe 9:00 after they show a "Behind the scenes special" from 8-9, but my Tivo Guede data doesn't go that far ahead

    AMC has a Three Stooges marathon on NY eve. Nyuck nyuck nyuck...

    We never have time for TV marathon's on New Year's...we're too busy snacking, chatting, playing games etc...:)

    In the NYC area WPIX ch 11 has an annual Honeymooners marathon.

    USA is running a BURN NOTICE NYE marathon starting at 6 AM in the middle of season 2 going through season 3 and then replaying the season 2 episodes at midnight :)

    Absolutely Fabulous Marathon on BBC America 12/27 starting at 8 pm

    Buffy the Vampire Slayer Marathon on LOGO New Year's Day starting at 6 AM

    Just curious, will all season 3 eps be aired on this marathon? Just picked up seasons 1 and 2 for Xmas, and I think I'll be wanting season 3 to watch when I'm through with those. :)

    AMC will run a Three Stooges marathon starting 7am (eastern time) Thursday morning (the 31st) until 6am Friday morning (the 1st).

    Twenty three hours of the Stooges is a almost more than even I can take. :D

    According to my TiVo guide - Season 3 starts at 3 pm and runs through midnight. Nine episodes have aired so far. I would say go to the imdb and check out the episode titles and track from there :)
