Just thought mentioning - keep in mind I am a skeptic of anything new
    • Love the new Tivo experience. They did any amazing job.
    • The experience does one thing best. It is really the point of Tivo, actually allows you to use all 500 or so channels.
    • I would focus on what to watch area. And particularly dive into "what is on now" tivo area. I would also recommend you remove its - tivo - searches into apps like Netflix and Hulu. Adding these just creates too much. Use the apps to find their content.
Tivo nailed it. Honestly, I still wondering why all cable companies do not use Tivo as a standard. Most cable company UIs are just terrible, really unusuable. I will say some have gotten much better. I original switched after dealing with Fios in 2014. This after owning Tivo in the early 2000s.

    Go tivo, great work.

The use of TiVo's Search function allows you to add a found program to your schedule. The App, when accessed directly, does not.

I think it just is referring to basic DVR functionality. Record shows on different channels at the same time. Record shows by name. Don't have to go through 500 channels. Record shows by keyword. And then some content comes to the forefront via suggestions/Discovery bar. Content is less buried.

    I find search misses things.
Like if i ask to search star trek voyager it says no upcoming airings.
    BUT it is on channel 488 h&i mon-fri 11:00pm.
    Whats up with that ??

Perhaps Voyager is in TiVo's database, but you don't have channel 488 checked? I didn't get it last year, then they added BBCAM to my basic tier so I appeared in Search after I checked the box.

    Yep was it.
I thought even if it wasnt checked that as long as the channel was on the list it was searched.
    But guess not.
    Thanks.

No you wouldn't want search to find shows that you can't record/watch because you don't get the channel (which is generally why you uncheck a channel other than maybe to get rid of SD channels).

Definitely disagree with removing searches into Netflix and Hulu content. This is the best part of TiVo search that it can find shows when available on those services so I can watch them or even add them as 1P or Streaming Movies as bookmarks.

Personally never use What is on now since we generally only watch either shows already recorded or something that's streaming through one of the apps.

I'm too poor to have a Netflix or Hulu account. :(

I do have Prime, but that's just for the cheap TP. :)
