So I have a new tivo bolt and I removed the cablecard from my series 3 and I am trying to insert EITHER of the 2 into the new bolt. I have it properly aligned. I have it flat and when I push them they don't seem to want to "click" in and the green release lever still slides up and down so I know the card isn't in yet.
How hard do you have to push because I think I'm pushing pretty hard...Like greater than 10lbs of force...
The unit is brand new and the pins all look fine.
There doesn't seem to be any kind of shipping bracket.
    WTF...

Can you re-insert either card into the series 3? Perhaps a pin broke during removal and is blocking one of the holes.

I might be off-base here, but are these M-Cards? I never owned a series 3.

Well I was able to sort of answer my own question...
    I have a series 3 with 2 cable cards...neither would insert...
So I went to my OTHER series 3 and that card went RIGHT IN....but that's a borrowed tivo for channel testing so they aren't my cards to pair...

Look at how crappy MY cards are...
The one that inserts fine is on the top,
my 2 are on the bottom. Look at the odd openings in the cable card female connection holes.

    See Joe’s question.
Can you provide pics of the labels?

    Yeah,
They are M cards. I had to take the 2 crappy cards from my S3 (that I am mothballing for a transferred Lifetime to my new Bolt) to the verizon store and return them and pick up a brand new card that fits perfectly :)

New Tivos are voice controlled. You need to give it loud verbal commands.
