I had that happen as well.
Not home to check, but, wow, that grid is HUGE. Maybe good for a 20" TV, but really think that it would be better with 12 channels per screen. Maybe user configurable in the future?
I've been horizontal before. It wasn't that exciting. I'm going to apply my 50/50 rule and not start a new thread. Maybe next time.
Sounds like you didn’t do horizontal correctly.
I like the updates overall. Still hate the huge tiles on favorites and tuners access. Smaller would be much better. I should be able to see all the other tuners without scrolling. (I think they may be bigger!)
But definitely faster.
Lot of unused space on TiVo Home to the left of the Live Channel Preview. What happens if the Live Channel Preview is turned off (please don't tell me that one of the updates was to remove the ability to do this).
Oh well, I spend very little time at TiVo Home anyway….
No, you can turn it off, make it whole screen or top right.
Maybe it is just me but when watching in quick mode the audio doesn't seem as fast, mostly noticeable when music is playing.
I also like how in the info bar they now show the complete description of the program and the cast side by side without having to hit more info. One thing i'm not sure why they did it, but why put the genre, original air date and cast in grey text but the description in white.
Screenshot of the overscan setup? Has anyone played with that setting? That one option alone would probably make me pull the trigger on Hydra.
Can't seem to do anything with that. it says none and if i click on it the screen turns black for a second then goes to tivo home. Not sure if i am doing something wrong or if it's broken.
There are three settings. Worked perfectly for me on one tv that needed it badly.
The three settings are none, 2.5% and 5%.
Probably to differentiate the two columns without a line.
Not much to see. Three settings: none, low. high. Works to shrink the picture about 1/2" on my 40" Sony.
I guess you are part of the > 50,000 that don't have the update.
My Mini VOX received the update.
I like the update. It does seem to remember your place in My Shows better then previously.
What's the deal with the block of empty space at the top left of the home screen where the menu used to be? Is that area ever used for anything? Looks awkward.
Will everyone using Hydra be updated sometime today? Also, is there any way to force an update?
Yes I noticed that first. That's where the numbered menu used to be...now just a blank space..
you should have the update or if you check your network connection menu on tiv does it say pending restart?
The Tivo employee who wrote that must be celibate.
Here’s a complaint. All I get with his update is a communication failure message.
