No, I've used Twitter. They always respond. But so far haven't updated the app, and I'm not holding my breath, but doesn't hurt to try.

One thing I wish Tivo would update and bring back is automatically shifting the guide to the upcoming hour when you are 5 minutes from the hour. I hate going to the guide and seeing it is 8:57 pm but I have to push the guide data up to see what's coming up. Also, is there still a way to get the newest Hydra update on a Tivo by submitting the TSN?

Just installed it last night and my initial impression is good. It's smoother and feels more complete if that makes any sense. For those of you worried about the shortcuts list going away, all of your customized options are still there visually, they're just located on the horizontal bar. They still coincide with the numbers that were assigned to them (and can still be changed) but the numbers are not seen visually. I like the fact that they listened to all of those who were upset to see the Live Guide go and implemented it into the new browsing bar. Haven't checked if the Bolt Prime Video app supports UHD yet, but I'm hopeful. All in all, definitely progress.

I'm a newbie and I learned about TiVo from the YouTube videos. I find scrolling left to right much worse then scrolling from top to bottom. For one thing, scrolling from top to bottom allows us to see more on the screen at one time, so for that reason I dislike Hydra ... particularly the brand new menu screen which doesn't show all the menu items at one time and doesn't even give you the code numbers you selected.
I also preferred the old my shows look with the folder icon to the left of the show name with the recording icon to the right of the show named it looks very sloppy and harder to grasp what's recording wishlists had their own identity with a star in a folder and that's gone, too.

I never liked that. I want to see what is on now even if the last few minutes. Time does not jump forward, so neither should the guide.

I am glad to see that TIVO/ROVI is still bringing us updates and lately they have been coming very quickly

I am pleased with HYDRA and wont look back

In fact my building just signed a contract for X1s for all .. I wont switch

As other people have pointed out, suggestions are recording like crazy now.

I've also noticed that I can't adjust the thumbs ratings of shows anywhere but from the guide. I used to go through suggestions and thumbs down shows it recorded that I didn't want, but I see no way to do that. Is is just me or am I missing something about a new way to adjust thumbs ratings?

I see that I still can for movies but not for TV Shows.

The Guide now automatically shifts on the half hour. In your above case of 8:57pm, the guide would show 4 columns, 8:30pm, 9:00pm, 9:30pm, and 10:00pm. At 9:00pm the 4 guide columns become 9:00pm, 9:30pm, 10:00pm, 10:30pm.

I just wish that at 8:59pm if I select the 9:00pm show in the guide that it would tune to the channel. Or at least give me an option to tune to the channel in the Record pop-up window displayed. If I wanted to record the 9pm show I’d of hit the Record button not the OK/Select button.

While looking at the suggestions strip, I press info to show the more info view. There I can thumbs down. Also, using the left/right arrow allows me to go to the previous/next suggestion in the more info view.

I received no information about this upgrade!
I turned on my TV and found that Westworld, Silicon Valley and a bunch of other programs had not recorded.
I then got a message that I was the proud owner of a new and improved UI - BS - there's nothing good about this interface and the fact that I had to go through a complete Cable Card & TA pairing with Cox - just rubbed the stink in.
I have been a TiVo customer for at least 15 years, in that time I've not had anything near the problems introduced by the Bolt that I bought last fall. Why don't you guys take a short ride over to Ideo and see what real designers produce?

We've got the updates on a roamio and bolt. 2 problems, one definitely linked to the update. The roamio now reboots every time you hit LIVE. Hate to say it, but that's not an improvement. My family is going nuts over that. I haven't hit LIVE yet on the bolt. 2nd problem; with TRANSFER no longer available from the TIVO directly, I do as told and go the the site. I select the item to transfer, scroll up, tell it to do it, and am told to check the to do list. Needless to say, the item NEVER makes it into the todo list anywhere and never transfers. So now I have NO way to transfer between TIVO's. What's going on?

Got the update this morning. I think the UI changes are a considerable improvement. I understand some may not like the particular style, to each his own. But the use of the screen is much better now.

I did have one significant issue. Seems TiVo has forgot what it learned about my preferences over the last several years. I had about 60 suggestions this morning and got another about 30 by this evening. I normally get one or two a day. Besides which, 99% of the suggestions are shows I do not like and have thumbs-downed in the past.

This also reminds me, The thumbs down button needs to work on the favorites lists. Had to go watch the show to re-indicate I did not like it. Fortunately, not all 120+ suggestions were different shows and now the list shows the series name (big + for fixing this) so I could skip ones I had already thumbs-downed.
