New season and new opening credits

    With the new shows starting and old favorites coming back it is time to talk main title design.

    Dexter is still my favorite and it even won the emmy this year for main title design.

    I do like the BNL song from BBT.

    It seems to me they changed up CSI:NY's opening. I seem to like it more now.

    I am still dissapointed about the change in the Monk opening credits from what, three years ago. ;) :D

    Me too. I loved the instrumental theme. Sometimes it still pops up in the show.

    USA offers it as a free download here. Yes, I downloaded it to my iPod and I listen to it. A lot. :)

    I love the new opening for Season Three of Supernatural. It's the most thematic opening they've used.

    I'm glad this came up. I was going to point out in the Bionic Woman thread how much I *hate* its opening credits. A woman trying to break through a frosted glass window just seems terribly uninspired to me. And it looks ugly.

    Yup, great song.

    I am disappointed w/ the new opening song for "The Unit" though.

    I agree. I can't think of a single show that's changed its credit sequence for the better.

    I prefer the old song from The Unit, I liked the old opening sequence from NCIS (well, in particular I miss the shot of Abby's back), I don't like the new mix on CSI: NY...

    Why shouldn't the theme match the show? Beyond me why this is still on.

    Maybe because millions of people tune in each week? I could make the same comment about a lot of shows I don't give a rat's belly about, but that doesn't keep that drek off the air.

    def miss the old opening of the Unit. The theme had a nice military sound.
