New Bolt Doesn't Work. Customer Service no help

    Hi, This is my last chance. I have been a happy tivo customer for years. Last year, I got the tivo bolt+. After only one year, the hard drive died. I did have the extended warranty so I got a replacement. I cannot get this one to work. I have two problems. The first one is the horrid V312 error. I have tried every suggestion on how to correct this with no success. The secon is the interface. I have tried to downgrade the interface. I go to the guided setup screen, do the two down arrows, the two rewinds, and promptly get sent back to the previous screen. I have been in contact with tivo to no avail. They just keep repeating that the first is a known issue. Is this supposed to make me feel better that I cannot use my apps. The second has been "'working" for quite some time. I love tivo, but it has to work. Any suggestions for a desperate person???

    By 2 down arrows you mean thumbs down, correct. If not use thumbs down. Try pressing select faster after pressing rewind twice. Keep trying.

    If you can finally downgrade that should fix the app problem.

    The downgrade is an app and your apps aren't working, so the downgrade won't work either.
    I think the only solution is for TiVo to send you a bolt that works. A known problem for 2 years is unacceptable.

    Thanks! I do use the thumbs down. As soon as I press the second rewind, I am taken back to the Reset to Defaults screen. I don’t even have a chance to press the select.

    Try using the kickstart code 76543210 and then try the downgrade.
