I hope the new season on Netflix is/was better than the last season on Netflix. The last season felt different/forced/self-aware.

The last season was very different because of the scheduling. They couldn't get all the actors at the same time, so they wrote the episodes to focus on one or two characters at a time and then all the episodes of the season would intertwine with each other. I think it was a very creative idea by Hurwitz but I think even he would acknowledge that it didn't work very well and that the comedic quality of S4 was not on par with S1-S3. So hopefully he will have learned from that and will go back to the original ensemble style for this next round.

Posted this morning. This would seem to suggest more of an ensemble season, thank goodness. I'm a massive AD fan but still haven't finished S4.

Season 4 was an abomination. Fingers crossed, but not going to get too excited about this just yet...

The first 3 seasons were great. The 4th season wasn't great, but I still enjoyed seeing all those characters again. I got some laughs out of it. I will probably re-watch everything before season 5 comes out.

I actually enjoyed Season 4. Then again, I'm a structure junkie, and it had a wonderful structure...

Some episodes were good, some weren't up to the challenge.

I just rewatched the "Michael" episode, and it was top notch.

More than likely, because Michael was the glue that held the show together.

Just having crazy people doing crazy things can't carry a show, you need the straight man.
