New to the site. I need your help in the worst way. Here's my scenerio: I currently have DirecTV. I purchased a TiVo Series 2 Dual Tuner to replace the Trash DVR reciever that DirecTV sent me. Is there any way I can utilize the Dual Tuner option of the new TiVo I just bought?

Thanks for your responses in advance.

I believe the DT Tivo will allow you to use an analog source along with a cable or sat box. What you really should do is see if you can find a DirecTV TiVo. What dish do you have?

The TiVo DT will function as ONLY a single tuner when used with a satellite service.

Yeah, Supasta, I think you're right. Why can't TiVo and DirecTV just get along.

It is nothing to do with the TiVo-DirecTV relationship (or lack thereof). It is simply that the DT is designed to only work with one box, and satellite needs a box.
