My Tivo HD 652160 hard drive died. It was an upgrade and my original drive from storage no longer works. Have the $99 annual service (yes, Lifetime would have paid for itself, for sure) and hate to give that up. Can anyone please help with an image?

I wouldn't bother sending an image because its not on lifetime and Tivo are not renewing annual or monthly on Series 3s.

They sent an email saying it would be renewing in a few weeks and My Account shows a renewal date. I'm guessing that means they plan to take my money.

Call Tivo, see if you can get it to go to lifetime when it renews. Then, that is the last Tivo service payment ever.

    Image on its way.

Hi there. Does anyone have an image for the 652160? My drive also died and I was unable to extract an image from it. Thank you!

    Sent.

You may also need to check the power supply, bad/normal looking capacitors can cause issues to the hard drive as well as the rest of the Tivo. Besides, its pretty old.

I have replace the caps in the power supply. Tivo will work for a few hours and then it freezes.

Thank you ThAbtO! At first I didn't notice you had sent the file. I will try to burn it tonight and let you know how it goes! :)

Ha ha! Image/burn same idea: putting bits on a storage medium.

I imaged a drive last night and it booted. I went through guided setup and it is still working this morning. Looks good! *fingers crossed*
