    Your loss.
It's one of the better written broadcast shows.
Not quite Good Wife caliber but very layered and a rich mythology built up and strong characterization of the regulars and recurrings.

Yeah, and others see your trailing behind me with the same pokes, fueled by hurt feelings over some perceived wrong years ago, as just as annoying as my complaints about them, and just as annoying as their complaints... about everything.

I hate to break it to you, but you are not any more of a superhero than I am. Neither of us are unique snowflakes. We're all in this together, scratching the same itch. We're like one, big, dysfunctional family. :)

I'm always happy to hug it out. I have a feeling you'd prefer to keep simmering for a few more years, though.

How about this: you quit feeling like you have to "save" TCF from Alfer and I'll quit pointing out how big of a hypocrit you are. Deal?

That'd be a difficult deal for me agree to because you're ascribing a "feeling" to me that I don't actually have. You don't actually know what I "feel." All you're doing is projecting what you think I feel, and therefore you wouldn't ever be satisfied if my feelings on anything actually did change.

I (like many others on any internet forum) call out threadcrappers and participants who are tactless, or who spew uninformed, incorrect information that derails group discussion. I don't hold on to any hope that these people will actually change. But the dissenting and disapproving voice remains. I've got no problem with you thinking I'm a hypocrite because of this. Just please, have some self-awareness about the dynamic you're continuing here, even as you insist that I'm some sort of "bad guy."

    Now what?

I'm just going to throw my $0.02 in here, even though I'm sure nobody cares - One of the things I love about TCF is that the conversations here are generally intelligent and informative. And I think that's as a result of the members here not putting up with the juvenile and childish crap that we see in other unmoderated comment forums elsewhere on the internet. So when someone makes a post that's about as mature or helpful as your typical YouTube comment, I appreciate when it gets pointed out.

It's just not the type of show I'd be interested. Honestly, I don't feel the loss, but feel free to enjoy it :)

I actually DID watch the first 4-5 episodes during the first season because I liked Michael Emerson's work in Lost. But every episode was the same. Emerson's character finds some bad guys with Tech and he sends his goon out to capture them. It's typical CBS procedural with a different twist.

For that kind of show I find The Blacklist MUCH more engaging.

The one thing Fofer is that just about EVERY comment by Alfer seems to bring out a snide remark from you. Enough already, we get it, you don't like the guy. But he's entitled to post here as much as you, and generally he doesn't start these spitting matches, you do.

And I'm sure everyone else reading this thread is sick and tired of this, so lets just drop it and talk about NBC Classics, whatever it is (and for the record).

Personally, I think it's best to ignore the trolls. Usually they go away to whatever hole they came out of. Constantly commenting on them enables them, and leads to these pages long arguments. So I'd much prefer that they AREN'T pointed out (and sometimes it's people who are equally trollish pointing other trolls). It's much more fun to spend a few pages on NBC Classics than discuss someone's snide comment at the expense of someone else.

    Sorry but you're wrong.

You missed a lot if you think it's a "typical CBS procedural".
I'd like to see CSI: Hoboken do a 30 month arc.

OK, it's a CBS procedural with a 30 month arc, and there's the twist :D

I found myself within 15 minutes of each episode futzing on my tablet. When I'm doing that, it's time to give up on the show.

But we all have different tastes, or we'd all be watching exactly the same show.

I just don't get why, when someone says they don't like a show, people insist on trying to convince them that their opinion is wrong.

Because people are passionate about the things they like. I don't mind someone reasoning with me why they like a show, as long as they are fine with me explaining why I don't :)

Usually when someone doesn't like a show, that opinion is based on a small sample of episodes. It's certainly possible that what they don't like is addressed later...

I just don't get why, when people say they do like a show, somebody insists on trying to convince them that their opinion is wrong.

Or worse, spews their own uniformed opinion repeatedly, in a thread otherwise happily populated with fans.

So, people might be basing their opinions on incomplete knowledge and they might decide to try it again if they learn that some of their issues have been addressed.

I think a thread dedicated to particular media/content is meant for FANS to discuss it. If someone doesn't like that content, then why are they there in the thread? Are they just bored and lonely? And if they feel compelled to explain why they don't like that content, what more is there to say, after that first post? Threadcrap if you must, then for all that is good and holy in this world, move along and threadcrap elsewhere. It's called having tact. This isn't rocket science.

This is true, but I go back to this. How long are you supposed to stick with a show, that in 4 or 5 episodes you don't like? I think it's up to the show runners to hook me, and if they don't, then it's their fault not mine. There's so much choice on TV now that I find a show has to at least show me something to keep me watching. I'm willing to give a slow starting show some slack if I feel there is potential. But show me something. I hear, way too many times...Oh the show really gets going in the middle of the 2nd season or some such. Really? I'm supposed to sit through 30 hours of TV until it gets good?

This can happen sure. But there's also the possibility that the show isn't for them, even though it's just 4 or 5 episodes.
