Welcome to the forum and I'd love to see a link to that story.
It has been covered here also.
Since there is no one famous on the show I'm sure they would work for less money just to have a job. So I bet the SciFi channel could afford it. and there isn't any special FX to speak of.
I sure hope they can save the show. It and Life are the best 2 shows of the fall season.
Yeap, that pretty much the story.
Here's a link to my favorite forum about "Heroes":
(where I talked about the TiVo using of viewership data)
and a direct link to the article I used:
Is it okay if I suggest to your boss that since you're not famous, you would work for less money just to have a job?
That sepia filter doesn't come cheap.
Seriously, they do use special FX to show Dan and Livia "jumping" in time -- they've used both "flash" and "ripple" effects for various purposes.
Yeah, I think I read somewhere that Journeyman is one of NBC's most expensive shows. They certainly have expansive sets!
It's expensive to have to keep getting period cars, clothes, furniture, etc. And they have done '60s, '70s, '80s and beyond, some multiple times. It gets very expensive.
And they do a lot of location filming, which is expensive too.
Don't forget about music licensing, that probably costs more than the set & costume design.
They should play generic music of that style instead. I bet we'd catch on. Maybe. At least, we'd know it was the 80's by the synthesizer sound.
Haha. I understand the Hiro reference. But I wonder if they first looked to see if any one owns superhero.org.
