    Hey all

    Ok heres my story:

I transfer my tivo TV shows to my PC via the TivoToGo application. They play fine on my PC (naturally).

I use "Direct Show Dump Utility" to convert the .tivo files to .mpeg files. Everything still plays fine after this is done.

I then use my DVD burning application (Nero or DVDSanta) to convert them to .VOB / DVD format for use in a stand alone DVD player. Everthing seems to work fine - but when I play it back on the PC there is sound only for the 1st 10 seconds or so - then the show actually starts - and the sound stops. The commericals work fine - but when the show actually starts - no sound.

I read on another post that choosing the SAP or STEREO choice in the Tivo menu will fix this.....hmm....

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks!

Sounds like maybe there was nothing where the sound should have been when the DVD software looked for it to create the disc.

Does your DVD software also have audio choices?

Maybe IT is set to look for an alternate sound track that isn't there?

    By the way...

Have you checked your DVD player's audio selections and tried to find if there's audio on ANY of the choices?
