My "record" light appears not to be working

    My Tivo's red "record" light appears to have stopped working. I just wanted to see if it was a Tivo update problem and had happened to anyone else (like the vanishing menu items a couple of months ago).

    The box still records, there's just no outward signs that it is. Is there some kind of soft reset I can do that'll refresh the system, but not delete all my settings or wipe the many hours of TV I've not had time to watch yet?

    Have you tried restarting your Tivo?

    If I recall this is a small bug that occurs sometimes.

    Did a restart solve the issue with your unit ?

    Just the job, thank you. I don't dip into the setup menu very often. :)
