My new Samsung Smart TV will not recognize TiVo.

    Is there a fix for this problem or do I have to go back to DirecTV?

    If your problem is HDCP, it can often be solved by putting an HDMI splitter between your TiVo and TV. Perhaps this one would work for you.

    Way more info is needed here.. What Model Tivo? What Model TV? Are you sure you are on the right HDMI input? What is the error you are getting?

    I don't think asking OP what his TiVo and TV are is really going to help unless he describes what the problem actually is. From his message I suspect OP just doesn't have the technical vocabulary to express what's wrong. It's going to take twenty questions to pull it out of him, and he's probably a drive-by here.

    If it's anything like my Roku smart TV, you have to choose the HDMI in the app area every time unless you have it set up, like I do to automatically go to Tivo. Otherwise it just goes to the main app screen.
