This was the funniest "Earl" in ages. I haven't laughed this much in a long time. So many great lines and situations, but I think the funniest was when Frank had drawn the map of the plan for the robbery on the fridge, and then Randy fired the shotgun right through it. :D And later when Randy was happy the milk was warm, only to spit out his spoonful of cereal and go "Oh god... what's the date on this cereal?"

Loved when the hooker said about the sake and the Japanese business man (paraphrasing) "Just get a vodka bottle, rip off the label and draw a dragon on it, he won't know the difference" :D

And when they got the room and Frank demonstrated that they could spit on the floor.

Earl's line about the El Camino... "Randy - he's got an El frikkin' Camino! That's like the Cadillac of cars!" :D

Joy won't be feeling obliged to Earl anymore.

What really happened to Catalina's boy friend though???

Wow. finally we get an "origin" episode about how all the characters came together. I thought the comedy itself in this episode was kind of "meh," especially in comparison to the strong season start. Mostly gross comedy rather than clever.

I did laugh out loud at the Al Roker line though... I pictured a writing room bet where someone was challenged to come up with a way to fit that in the show. :D

Guess we can assume he is serving 20 years in another jail.

Good to see some more background on Darnell, Catalina, how Joy and Earl got together, how Earl got the El Camino, etc.

Or if he is an illegal he could have been deported too, maybe.

This may be the way they opened up to bring him into future episodes.

I loved the callback better where they showed Yoshimitsu passed on the bed with the bottle next to him and Earl said "Because Yoshimitsu was drunk from the Crab Shack Sake..."

Anyone know what Catalina said during her ramble to Crab Man? I speak a little Spanish but she talks too fast and her accent is different from what I'm used to, so I can never break out the words. Also any idea who played her boyfriend? I recognized him but couldn't place him.

The boyfriend play Chavez (I think that was his name) in one of the Tom Clancy/Jack Ryan movies...he was the expert sniper.

Je suis désolé, je parle seulement un peu Français.

I thought I recognized him as Det. Sanchez from The Closer. But, now that I'm looking at him on IMDb - maybe not.

Catalina said something to the effect that, the way she came in to the country doesn't make sense, because Earl fans know that in episode such and such ..she came in ...something something (Sorry already deleted)

Great great episode. Randy was in good form.

I liked Frank in that role. It's a better fit for him than some dramatic roles I've seen him in.

    Harry Monroe FTW!

"Of course, this is optional." LOL

"Sorry, sister, I only speak French, Russian, and Arabic. I mean, ....What up, dawg?"

"Did I not mention this at dinner?"
"Tim, I don't think this is gonna work out."

"Rollin' down the street, smoking Endo, sippin' on Gin and Juice, with my mind on my money and my money on my mind."

"So Doc, I didn't feel a ring on your finger." :D

She said that this doesn't make sense because everybody knows that she arrived after Y2K. She then added something like (can't remember exactly) "but since when do we let little details like that bother you in this show?"

Basically they were admitting that the timeline didn't make sense based on everything we have seen so far.

What's spanish for "continuity nazi"? :D

Anybody speak Japanese? I figure since every time Catalina speaks spanish, she's breaking the fourth wall, maybe the Japanese guy had a message for us as well.

And this not a smeek, it just has to be repeated: Woah! Check out the vagina on Al Roker! :D

That line was great. Jamie Pressly so deserved her Emmy, I hope she gets one next year too. She is awesomely funny.

Best episode of the season so far.

The "country" version of Gin and Juice cracks me up all on it's own, hearing those two sing it, while a little cliche, still had me ROLLING.

Joy's, um... 'logic' about saving Earl time was histerical.

I had no idea Howie Mandel would make a cameo, AWESOME! I was also amused to see Tim Stack again.
