    I actually liked this episode quite a bit. More Vince and scenes away from the home, and the right combination of funny/silly. I think they're starting to hit their stride, and even though the formulaic joke pacing is predictable they still pull it off.

    Just changed DVRs so I didn't have anything recorded to watch last night. I turned this on for about 5 minutes. I started when Shat was singing to the dog.

    I know it's not right to judge a show based on 5 minutes, but that's all I could handle. It was terrible...

    Yeah, you are right - "it's not right to judge a show based on 5 minutes". This show has plenty of awful moments but it also has some really good ones. I certainly wouldn't try to convince someone to watch it that doesn't like it because it really does need some changes to be a good show. I'm hoping they are able to pull it off.

    I looked ahead at the synopsis for next week's show. I won't spoil it for those who hate that kind of thing but what I saw made me happy.

    ....the maid returns! :) :up::up:

    Actually, I thought this one went WAY more into the formulaic junk. Still funny, but formulaic.

    (So the kid is late 20s, and Shatner is what, 85? I don't know how old the character is supposed to be, but that's a VERY late kid.)

    Shatner is in his 70's. But that's Shatner. The character Shatner plays is probably in his 60's.

    I still don't like the young son--bad actor or whatever. It always just feels forced. But I do get a few laughs out of the show, so I keep watching.

    Saw Shatner on a talk show recently. He turns 80 in March.

    They should pull a Darren Stevens with the character of Henry.

    I would not object to that. I find him to be the worst element of the show.
