I have lived in a retirement community in the SF Bay Area for 3 1/2 years and have a Tivo Roamio and a Tivo Mini network connected. Comcast is the only option on our campus. My last two bills have dropped the $2.50 discount for customer owned equipment. When I called billing they said it was because I wasn't considered a residential customer and they were correcting an error in billing. When I went to the store, they said it was because they were dropping VOD (which I don't use) and generally they were dropping Tivo support. This really made me angry since I lost Tivo support with DirecTV years ago. I hope that they were misinformed. The only thing I can think of is that the residential community provides basic Comcast service to all units and I pay for Internet (with my own modem) and Premium Service for HD. Any ideas or similar experiences. I realize that $2.50 is not the end of the world. I really hope that I can keep my Tivo setup.
