I'm just not liking this season compared to the first two. Yes I know it's still better than most things on TV... I absolutely can't stand Claire at all. If there's a "very special episode" where Phil becomes a widower I would love it. Cam & Mitchell being bored. Meh. Same with the switched cars. And even Manny, usually one of my favorites, was a so-so plot. Phil at his college was probably the highlight.

Yeah, they made Claire into an anorexic psycho.

Huh. On my DVR, the title of the episode was "Bullfrogs!".

    It was an okay episode.

Hmmmm, yes I see "Bullfrogs" too and then I saw "Back to School". The Bullfrogs gag was amusing at first :)

This one wasn't a highlight, for sure. But it's still a very enjoyable show.

well, not sure the producers/writers can change how Julie Bowen looks... The psycho part is great, imo :)

But she's pyscho about everything. It's grown stale, to me at least. I realize Phil is just as much over the top but much, much funnier, IMO.

I liked Jay getting into the Cuban soap operas. The rest was sort of so-so. And god I wanted to wiped the chicken wing stuff off of Phil and Haley's faces thru that whole scene. They must have had fun doing that but it was driving me nuts. The bonding at the very end was nice. It seems to be happening with Phil more and more.

I would really like to know how Claire and Phil ended up together. I know opposites attract but these two would have been sick of each other in 5 minutes.

We wondered if Rico Rodriguez was purposely staring into Sofia's .... er, ample charms... in one scene.

Another side effect of the pooberty.

She's very hot. Not Gloria hot, but that is a very high standard.

I laughed out loud when Gloria asked Jay whom he was talking to (on the phone) and he said "the housekeeper".

This was probably the worst modern family episode I've seen. My wife said the same thing. Still, it's better than most shows even at its worst.

It is, but I'm growing tired of having to say that after every episode lately.

I lol'd when Phil joined in with the cheerleaders.

    "I'm not gay, I'm French."

    "Yep, that's a daughter."

"In my mind, I'm watching my potpie rotate in the microwave."

Sometimes, it's not even the dialog. It's the delivery.

And, Holly is a hottie. Let's have more of her.

The only redeeming part of this episode was the Phil/Haley bonding moment.

I much, much prefer Claire to Phil. I'd have run away from home in embarrassment if a total goofball like Phil was my father.

    Haley?

We laughed at quite a few of the lines, but the biggest one was for "Pooberty" in the closed captions.

When my wife saw Gilles she immediately said "He was robbed!" She still hasn't let go (not that I blame her -- he *was* robbed).

No, Holly, the brunette mom at the house where Claire dropped off Luke.

I lol'd at the Pooberty line also.

Played by Andrea Savage, who was also hot (and crazy!) on Bravo's "Significant Others".
