By all accounts of diagnostic tips posted on this forum, I believe that the modem in my Tivo Series 2 is on life support.

If that is the case, can I connect over my broadband wireless network? I've never had the need to hook my Tivo up to imy wireless network, but if this will allow it to connect and get programming information, I will plunk down the $50 to get the wirelss adaptor to do it.

    Any advice?

Yes, a wired or wireless internet connection can be used in place of the modem.

As an added bonus, it also allows you to take advantage of thngs like TiVoToGo, Music & Photos, etc.
