They can make it a double feature with Gracepoint.

Especially since the original Luther is coming back for a 2-episode series in 2015.

I wasn't suggesting that other networks can't do it, only that FOX can.

Forget Luther, they need to make a series where Alice is the main character.

That was suppose to be a spin off on BBC. Not sure if it's still being planned though.

Alice is currently having an affair with McNulty though.

Did no one learn anything from the American remake of Cracker?

So, which type of remake will they choose? The almost identical plot with several actors completely miscast or change the sex and ethnicity of the main characters (and miscast), completely ruining the originals plot points?

It's been a while since I watched Luther, but I don't remember his ethnicity ever being a plot point.

In better news it has been confirmed that Luther will be returning to the BBC with a two part special airing in 2015. It's linked with BBC America.

There is no way Luther would work as written. So many plot points could have been made so much simpler in the BBC version if Luther would have just had a gun.
