Finally! There's been too much good acting on TV lately, we need some of the stiffness and incompetence that only Lucas can bring out in actors. :D

Wasn't it supposed to have started this year? About damn time. It couldn't be worse than Flash Gordon.

Are you sure about that? Look at the first word in the title. ;)

Have you sat thru the horror that is Flash Gordon? Ep1 is a masterstroke compared to FG.

It was a joke in the article. But seriously: all the Star Wars movies were about the life and times of R2 and C-3PO.

The Clone Wars cartoon was awesome... so maybe there's hope.

    Just a little.

Is Lucas writing it? If so, doomed. If not, it has a chance.

Interesting that the article references that as a current or upcoming project. I thought they already aired all of those prior to the release of Ep. III.

Only because they gave the Samurai Jack people free reign.

This reeks of direct involvement by Lucas.

The article in the LA Times said Rick McCullum is interviewing writers.

They're talking about the COMPUTER animated series that they're also working on. Similar to the live action... a few years' worth, they want to sell it to a network.

    Thats funny.

I loved the AV Club article "When Comebacks Collapse: 10 Blown Second Chances"

    # 6 is George Lucas.

"The prequels gave Lucas his third, fourth, and fifth chances to redeem the saga—which never needed redeeming until he started meddling with it—and while kids under 6 may someday fondly recall growing up with Jar-Jar and Li'l Darth Vader, it's safe to say his original acolytes wish Lucas had never bothered in the first place."

Flash Gordon is harmless. Ep1-Ep3 were unforgivable, destructive pieces of crap. I'm not finding it likely that any show that lucas writes can make me think less of him than I already do. It could be an ewok hand puppet musical about shopping for jeans on planet earth and I'd still say that it's not as bad as Ep 3.

    Thus, I'll be watching.

Clone Wars was really good, though.
